Deposit and Pricing
Times for the lake cruises also vary depending on the time of year and daylight savings. During the summer season Lake Cruise are not available on Saturday and Holiday weekends(Memorial Day, Labor Day, & 4th of July). Full payment and a 2.5% booking fee is due upon booking. There is no booking fee for bookings taken over the phone.
Private Charters are by the hour with a 4 hour minimum. The prices for 2023 are as follows: Monday-Thursday: $200/hr, Friday & Sunday: $275/hr, Saturday: $300/hr, holiday weekends are $350/hr. There is a $400 non-refundable deposit and a 2.5% booking fee due when booking. The $400 deposit does go towards the balance with the remaining balance due the day of the reservation. There is no booking fee for bookings taken over the phone.
A 20% captain's fee will be added to all reservations, the captain's fee is paid to the captain for their services, no additional tipping is required. However if you feel your captain went above and beyond you can tip them more directly cash, PayPal, or Vemno.
Weather Policy
We have a rain or shine policy, we only cancel if the water is unsafe to be on. Because the weather changes so often we do not make any weather cancellation calls until the day of. If we do have to cancel we can try to move you to a different day if available, but if that can not be done your deposit and/or any other payments will be refunded. If you happen to be on a charter when bad weather rolls in we can bring you back to the marina and have a dock party, and if the weather clears we can take you back out to finish up your time if you have any left. If you don't want to chance it and the weather seems nicer the day before or after your scheduled charter day you are welcome to call and see if we can move your reservation to one of those days. Lastly if our boats are still going out but you decided you don't want to do the charter, you are still responsible for full payment of your charter.
Cancellation Policy
*Cancellation more than 14 days before the tour date - Loss of deposit, with a deposit credit held for up to one year. Any other payments can be refunded.
*Less than 14 days before the tour date - Loss of 100% of the total price, with a full credit to be held for up to a year.
*36 hours or less before the Tour - Loss of 100% of the total price, NO credit to be held.
All matters may be subject to be sent to a collection agency for the outstanding balance. In the event you expect to have a delay or late arrival before your tour, you must advise us by phone (512-476-2628) as soon as possible. If you do not advise us in a reasonable time we will consider it a cancellation by you. We will offer you the option to join us at a later time on the same day or on another day within the period booked (depending upon boat availability) Austin's Boat Tours is not liable for any of your boat time lost due to late arrival caused by you and no refund will be given.
Cancellation BY Austin's Boat Tours -There may be a circumstance where we may have to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances. Some reasons may be adverse weather, lake conditions, lake closures and/or disruptions, circumstances beyond our reasonable control and predictability. If for any the above circumstances Austin's Boat Tours has to cancel your tour, we can try to reschedule for another time or day. If this is not an option the deposit and any other service paid for and not used will be refunded to you. No monetary compensations will be made by Austin's Boat Tours on top of your refund. If cancelled after commencement of your tour (due to reasons stated above), a refund will be prorated to the amount of time lost after cancellation. During your tour if at any time the health, safety and/or well being of any Austin's Boat Tours contractors, staff, and/or other customers is in danger or in anyway compromised by the direct result of you and/or your guest, Austin's Boat Tours reserves the right to terminate the booking immediately and as such the contract agreement will be deemed complete and no type of refund or compensation will be given.
